At Dayton Driving School, we're passionate about helping every eligible young person (ages 15½-21) in the Greater Dayton area gain the skills for safe, confident driving. But we know cost can be a barrier for many families.
That's where you come in. Through our Sponsorship program, you can directly fund a spot in our state-approved Class D Driver Training course-either for someone you know or for a deserving student we select. Your support covers professional instruction that builds lifelong safe-driving habits, reduces crash risks, and opens doors to jobs, independence, and responsibility.
Two Ways to Sponsor:
Sponsor Someone You Know
- Cover the training for a specific teen or young adult (e.g., your child, grandchild, niece/nephew, neighbor, mentee, or student you support).
- Provide their name and basic details when you sponsor.
- We'll coordinate enrollment, keep you updated on progress (with permission), and send a completion certificate/thank-you note.
Sponsor an Anonymous Student
- Fund a spot for a deserving young driver from our scholarship waitlist-someone with demonstrated financial need who might otherwise miss out.
- We match your gift to the next eligible applicant (based on need, merit, and our review process).
- You'll receive a thank-you note and (if they agree) a general update/photo celebrating their success.
What Your Sponsorship Covers:
Our full program includes:
- 24 hours of state-required classroom instruction (online, self-paced).
- 8 hours of one-on-one behind-the-wheel training with a certified instructor.
- Certificate of completion for the Ohio BMV.
Typical value: $575 (our standard 8-hour Drive Only course price; full packages may vary slightly- we'll confirm exact amount at sponsorship).
You can sponsor:
- A single student ($575+ suggested).
- Multiple students (e.g., $1,150 for two).
- Or any amount-we'll apply it toward the next need.
